The festival center is conceived as a place of encounter. Theater people meet authors, artists meet their audience. It is about exchange and conversation, about thinking together about language and text, but also reflecting on social structures, something that is essential right now. Only together can we endure the oppressive situations of the present and perhaps turn something positive.
In Graz the place is known as "Heimatsaal" (Heimat = home) and we hope that during the festival it will become a place where you feel at home and welcome.
