Personal accounts or structural violence? These questions have been engaging artists long before the emergence of the #MeToo-debate. Alarming, shocking interviews from the world of theatre provided the foundation for this spatial installation, which was created at Kampnagel in Hamburg in 2016. “Forced Theater. Step too” is the continuation of this work for Graz. What are we allowed to say, what can we say, what do we have to say, what can still really touch us?
