The Knitting Pilgrim
A guest performance by Ergo Arts Theatre in cooperation
with Bridging Arts.
€ 19,50 / € 10 (red.)
"The Knitting Pilgrim" is a one-person play with Canadian actor
and textile artist Kirk Dunn. It is a very personal narrative, centered around three giant knitted tapestries, which
are modelled on stained-glass windows.
It is about the connection between the Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The play tells of Kirk's fifteen-year artistic and spiritual journey, during which he hand-knitted the rugs himself, and grappled with the question:
Why don't people get along?
Immediately after the performance, there is an opportunity to see the tapestries up close on stage and have a conversation with Kirk Dunn.
